Project Description
Architecture: The Ranakpur Jain Temple stands as a masterpiece of Maru-Gurjara architecture, showcasing intricate craftsmanship in white marble. Built in the 15th century under the patronage of Rana Kumbha and designed by architect Deepaka, the temple features an extraordinary layout based on chaumukha (four-faced) design symbolizing the Tirthankara’s omnipresence.

• The temple is supported by 1,444 uniquely carved marble pillars, no two of which are identical.
• The ceilings feature detailed geometric patterns, floral motifs, and mythological scenes.
• The main shrine has four faces and is surrounded by smaller shrines, domes, and open courtyards.
• The temple is oriented to allow natural sunlight to flow through at different angles throughout the day, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere.

This architectural marvel is not only a place of worship but also a living gallery of ancient Indian sculptural excellence.
