Project Description
Junagarh Fort – The Pride of Bikaner

Overview: Embark on a journey through the royal past of Rajasthan with a visit to the magnificent Junagarh Fort, one of the few major forts in the state not built on a hilltop. Built in 1589 by Raja Rai Singh, this architectural marvel stands as a symbol of Bikaner’s strength, resilience, and grandeur.
Junagarh Fort is a fusion of Rajput, Mughal, and Gujarati architectural styles, with intricately carved stone walls, beautiful courtyards, balconies, and towers. The fort complex houses several palaces, temples, and pavilions such as the Anup Mahal, Ganga Mahal, Badal Mahal, Chandra Mahal, and Phool Mahal, each with its own unique design and history.
The fort also has a museum that displays rare artifacts, weapons, manuscripts, and costumes of the former royal family. As you walk through its grand halls and corridors, you’ll feel immersed in the luxury and power of the Bikaneri kings.
